Bean Dip with Tortilla Chips

This starter is a nice change from soup and other traditional starters. It can be served individually or on a platter for group eating.


  • 8 ozs 1 Cup, Cooked Kidney Beans
  • 8 ozs 1 Cup, Cooked Butter Beans
  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Purée
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp Chives
  • 1 Tsp Paprika
  • ¼ Tsp Hot Chilli Powder


  • Place all ingredients into a liquidiser and blend until smooth. (TIP: If you want a spicier dip, simply add more hot chilli powder.)
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
