Pizza Tower

If you want to cook a valentines meal but want something not fancy, Pizza Tower is for you. It’s a twist on a pizza and looks a lot more difficult than it is to make.


  • 16 ozs 3 Cups, For Dough White Bread Flour
  • 7 g For Dough Dried Yeast
  • 100 mls ½ Cup, Boiling, For Dough Water
  • 200 mls 1 Cup, Cold, For Dough Water
  • 1 Tbsp For Dough Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp For Dough Salt
  • 1 Tsp For Dough Sugar
  • ¼, Large Finely Sliced Red Pepper
  • ¼, Large Finely Sliced Green Pepper
  • 2, Medium Sliced Mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp Sweetcorn
  • 4, Finely Sliced Green Olives
  • 1, Small Finely Sliced Red Onion
  • 2 Tbsp Red Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Frito
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato Purée
  • 2 Tsp Nutritional Flakes
  • 2, Crushed Garlic Clove
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp Mixed Herbs
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper


  • Pre heat oven to 220c and grease a baking sheet.
  • Place the flour into a large bowl and add salt, sugar, olive oil and yeast, stir well.
  • Mix the boiling water and cold water together and add to the flour, stir until a dough forms then knead for 10 minutes.
  • Shape the dough into two pizza bases and place onto the baking sheet, leave to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  • Bake in the oven for 15 minutes then leave to cool on a wire rack.
  • Into a frying pan place black pepper, olive oil and the garlic, add the red onion and cook until soft and slightly brown.
  • Into a bowl mix the frito, red sauce, mixed herbs and tomato purée together, add the red pepper and stir well.
  • Cut the pizza dough into six, 4 inch by 3 inch squares, cut heart shapes out of the left over dough.
  • Spread the tomato mixture equally on top of the pizza squares.
  • Onto two of the pizza squares, divide the onion mixture.
  • Fry the mushrooms in the frying pan using the oil from frying the onions. Cook on a low heat for 5 minutes, add the olives and sweetcorn and mix well together.
  • Onto another two of the pizza bases cover with nutritional flakes and green pepper.
  • On the last two pizza bases divide the mushroom mixture between them.
  • Now layer the pizza tower with the onion layer at the base, the mushroom layer in the middle and the nutritional flake layer on the top.
  • Place the two towers onto the baking sheet and decorate with the heart shape cut outs.
  • Cook for 5-10 minutes, depending on how brown you want your pizza at 210c.
